1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WPoptic, a Chrome extension and platform that identifies WordPress plugins and technologies used on websites (“Services”). By using WPoptic, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use WPoptic.

2. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, algorithms, and technology used within WPoptic and the related website are the intellectual property of WPoptic or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or repurpose any part of our product or platform without prior written consent.

3. Use of the Service

You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use WPoptic for personal or commercial analysis of websites you own or have permission to analyze.

You must not:

• Republish, resell, or redistribute data from WPoptic without consent.

• Use data from WPoptic to build or offer a competing service.

• Scrape, bulk-export, or automate large-scale requests to circumvent API limitations or fair use.

• Use WPoptic to collect data for the purpose of unsolicited outreach (spam).

4. Account Registration

To access premium or API features, you may be required to create an account. You must provide accurate, up-to-date information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or attempt to exploit the service.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

WPoptic offers both free and paid services. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

• Be charged monthly or annually depending on your chosen plan.

• Cancel via your WPoptic account dashboard if you no longer need the service — cancellations are self-service.

• No refunds for change of mind. Refunds may only be issued if a service is faulty or not delivered as promised, in line with Dutch and EU consumer law.

API Access & Limits

API access is licensed. Data may not be shared, resold, or sublicensed. We enforce rate limits to ensure fair use and reliability. Abusive usage may result in suspension.

6. Fair Use

All accounts are subject to fair use. Excessive usage, high-frequency scans, or unusual access patterns intended to harvest bulk data may result in throttling or termination of service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use WPoptic:

• For unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.

• To reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with our systems.

• To violate privacy laws, anti-spam regulations, or other applicable legislation.

• In a way that damages or impairs WPoptic’s services, infrastructure, or reputation.

8. Data Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, but WPoptic cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of plugin detection. Some plugins may be undetectable, misidentified, or outdated due to caching or site obfuscation techniques.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on our website and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of WPoptic after changes go into effect constitutes your acceptance.

10. Termination

You may terminate your use of WPoptic at any time by canceling your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

WPoptic is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WPoptic shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities;

• Damages arising from reliance on plugin detection accuracy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be exclusively subject to the courts of the Netherlands.
