After a lot of development, testing, and fine-tuning, WPoptic is finally live. For those who don’t know me yet: I’ve been working with WordPress for years, running a maintenance business and helping clients around the world. Over time, I noticed that there wasn’t a simple and reliable way to see which plugins a WordPress website was using. So I decided to build it myself.
WPoptic is a lightweight Chrome extension that instantly detects all the plugins running on any WordPress site. You just click the icon, and within seconds you get a clear list of what’s being used. It’s fast, accurate, and built specifically for people who work with WordPress every day.
This tool is especially useful for developers, marketers, and anyone in sales who’s qualifying WordPress leads. You get a behind-the-scenes look at how sites are built, which tools are popular in certain niches, and where there might be opportunities for your own services.
We’re still actively improving the platform. WPoptic is stable and already very usable, but we’re not finished yet. Right now, we’re focused on making the detection even more accurate, especially for custom setups or sites with plugin branding removed.
The next big feature we’re working on is export functionality. Soon, you’ll be able to export the plugin data and build lists of leads based on the tools websites are using. That means better workflows, faster research, and easier follow-ups.
This is just the beginning. I’m building WPoptic to grow with the needs of WordPress professionals — and I’ve got a lot more planned. If you’re using the tool and have feedback or ideas, I’d love to hear them.
More updates soon. For now, thanks for checking out WPoptic.
